Who doesn’t love a patty melt!? Well, probably vegetarians. Other than that, who??
There’s a burger patty, melted cheese and sauteed onions. YUM!

There’s a burger patty, melted cheese and sauteed onions. YUM!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 onion
- I Can’t Believe It’s Not Buter Spray
- 3 oz. ground sirloin
- A splash or two of Worcestershire sauce (no more than 1 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder, salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 slices 1 point bread (I used Sara Lee 45 calorie honey wheat bread)
- 1 slice Sargento ultra thin mild cheddar cheese
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Slice the onion and break apart the pieces.
- Spray a frying pan with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray and add the onion. Cook on medium-low for about 20 minutes – until they’re golden brown, stirring frequently.
- Add Worcestershire sauce to the ground sirloin and form a patty. Sprinkle the patty with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Cook the patty in a frying pan. I cooked mine 5 minutes on each side to get it medium-well.
- Remove patty from the pan and cover with foil.
